Screen Care 101: Keep Your Display Looking New
Your phone's screen is its most vulnerable part. One drop can turn a beautiful display into a spiderweb of cracks. Here's how to protect it.
Protection Tips
- Get a tempered glass protector: It's cheap insurance. A $20 protector can save a $200+ screen replacement.
- Use a case with raised edges: When placed face-down, the edges keep the screen off surfaces.
- Clean it right: Use a microfiber cloth, not your shirt or paper towels which can scratch.
- Watch your pockets: Don't share pocket space with keys or coins. They're screen enemies.
- Avoid extreme temperatures: Cold makes glass brittle, heat weakens it. Both increase crack risk.
When Accidents Happen
Even with perfect care, accidents happen. If you crack your screen, don't wait. Small cracks can grow and damage internal components.
